Magic: The Gathering and Voodoo Ranger Collaborate

The Vastwood Seer IPA is not your average craft beer. Its flavor profile is a blend of aromas and tastes that aim to offer an immersive experience for Magic: The Gathering (by Wizards of the Coast) fans.

The beer features a blend of juniper berries and grapefruit on the nose, followed by subtle notes of coriander and spruce tips on the palate. But what sets this beer apart is its thematic connection to the Magic multiverse. It will be around the average 7% ABV.

The brew draws inspiration from the magical landscapes that are a cornerstone of the game. Each ingredient in the beer corresponds to a different type of land in Magic, from vast plains to craggy mountain sides.

The beer’s creators went to great lengths to ensure that the Vastwood Seer IPA would resonate with fans of the game. As per given information. The grains and hops come from vast plains, the citrus elements are sourced from island shores, spices are from the swamplands, juniper berries are harvested from mountainsides, and spruce tips are gathered from deep within forests.

This meticulous attention to detail is a nod to the game’s intricate mana systems, where players draw energy from various types of lands to cast spells and summon creatures.

Partnership

Voodoo Ranger‘s relationship with the Magic community has been nurtured over seven years. The beer company has a creator program that has successfully connected Magic fans and professionals through a shared love of craft beer.

Patrick Morgan, Voodoo Ranger Community Manager, stated, “Voodoo Ranger has been a part of the Magic: The Gathering community for over 7 years now. We connect Magic fans and professionals through a shared love of beer with our creator program.”

This long-standing relationship set the stage for the special event on October 13, 2023, in Fort Collins, Colorado. The event was open to all Magic fans (Age limit: 21 years or older). Activities for the day included gaming, beer tasting, special guest appearances and the uncovering of limited-edition merchandise.

“It could not be a bigger honor to help Magic celebrate their 30th Anniversary with this limited-edition IPA, created by a brewing team that can be found playing Magic when they’re not making beer.” said Patrick Morgan.

The event coordinators invited influencers like Taalia Vess to taste the beer, promote the event, and (of course) to chat about MTG!

“I absolutely love the Voodoo Ranger IPA Vastwood Seer collaboration with Magic: The Gathering,” said Vess. “As a devoted Magic player and beer enthusiast, it’s a flavorful crossover that brings a smile to my face with every sip and draw.”

The event aimed to bring the Magic multiverse to life in a tangible way. Fans had the opportunity to play alongside the brewers who created the Vastwood Seer IPA, making it a unique experience that blurs the lines between the game and the real world.

Suraj, your post really resonated with me! I particularly loved how you’ve illustrated the point with real-life examples. It brought to mind a similar situation I faced recently. I’m curious, how would you recommend adapting your advice for someone in a leadership role? I think other readers might also be interested in this angle. Also, I wonder how this could be applied in cross-cultural contexts? I’ve noticed differences in my own experiences working abroad. Keep the insightful posts coming! 😊👍
